Privacy policy

You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to rectification, restriction or erasure of this data (Art. 15–17 GDPR). You also have a right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and a right to object to the processing of your personal data (Art. 21 GDPR).

If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the data protection authority of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen).

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The same agreement with IONOS also covers the sending of emails via our contact form (SMTP mail relay) and data backup. The personal data collected on this website is processed within the European Union or the European Economic Area.

We have a data processing agreement with IONOS pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, which automatically becomes part of the respective booked product under IONOS's terms of use. IONOS demonstrates compliance with its Art. 28 GDPR obligations through an ISO 27001 certification and commits to processing our website visitors' data only on our instructions and in accordance with our privacy policy.

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us (browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address). This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of the website).

If you send us an inquiry via the contact form at /unternehmen/kontakt, the data you provide (name, email address, optionally company, message) is stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for any follow-up questions, and forwarded by email, depending on the request you select, to our sales team (back office) or to our technical support. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (handling of pre-contractual inquiries) or Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent, given when you submit the form).

The downloads area of this website is linked to your company's VulcaRAMix account and requires sign-in via our central identity service. As part of this, the login token transmits your user identifier as well as your association with your company, in order to control access to licensed documents. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of the usage agreement).

Every download of a protected document is logged together with the user identifier, the associated company, the document downloaded, and the time of the download. This serves to demonstrate proper use of the license and for document management. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in traceable document distribution).

On our contact page, we embed a map from the Google Maps mapping service, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded after your explicit consent via our cookie banner. After you consent, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers, which may include transmission of your IP address and processing in the USA. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TDDDG. For details, see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

We store technically necessary settings (e.g. language preference, login session) as well as your cookie consent itself exclusively in your browser (localStorage) — not on our servers. No consent is required for technically necessary storage (Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG). Details, and the option to change your choice at any time, can be found at /rechtliches/cookies.

Personal data is deleted as soon as the purpose of processing no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) prevent deletion.

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
