Connection to Gerlach
From 2015 to 2017, Gerlach and IKV jointly worked on the ZIM research project "HeatStraD" (grant reference ZF 4019901JA5) on heat transfer in strand vulcanization. It still forms the scientific basis for the cure kinetics inside the VulcaRAMix simulation core.
Dr.-Ing. Florian Lemke's dissertation
Dr.-Ing. Florian Lemke led the HeatStraD project on IKV's side and later deepened the shared findings in his dissertation "Vulcanization Strategies for Sulfur-Curing Rubber Profiles" (RWTH Aachen, 2022). Our heartfelt thanks go to him for the trusted collaboration and for letting us draw on these results for VulcaRAMix.
